Senior Manager, Sustainability Technical Support

Description

The job holder is responsible for offering technical support and guidance on sustainability-related financing to frontliners and other relevant staff, advising clients on sustainability management best practices, staying updated with emerging sustainability trends, and proactively building sustainable finance opportunities by understanding the bank's client base and identifying core industries and client needs. 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To ensure the delivery of technical support and guidance, particularly to frontliners and other relevant staff, on sustainability-related financing, addressing environmental and social risks and opportunities while maintaining risk mitigation and compliance.
  • To assist the development and implementation of client strategies and programs for Sustainable Finance products/programs.
  • To provide guidance and advice to clients on sustainability management best practices and market trends.
  • To review and stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, providing guidance to both internal and external stakeholders on how to address them effectively.
  • To identify and maintain a strong understanding of the bank's client base, proactively recognizing sustainable finance opportunities by focusing on core industries and client needs.
  • To assist the preparations of Sustainability Reports, presentations or proposals for internal and external stakeholders (where necessary).
  • To prepare and present papers to the Senior Management Team and/or other parties for notation and/or approval (where necessary).
  • To ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies & procedures at all times.
  • To comply & report on Anti Money Laundering (AMLA), frauds and defalcations (including attempted frauds), breaches of Employee Code of Conduct, robberies & burglaries.
  • To perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Qualification & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Banking and other related industries.
  • A minimum 2-4 years relevant experience with exposure of working
