Head, Outsourcing Management

Description

The job holder is responsible for:
  • To develop strategy, streamline operation, identify, manage, conduct research and monitor performance of external debt collection agents (DCA) and partners.
  • To initiate and develop new business, partner and venture with DCA for collaboration to accelerate recovery for RAM and SAM.
  • To lead, advise and monitor execution on projects for recovery process improvements, campaigns, including feasibility studies and financial impact simulations.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and managing company’s strategic alliances, changes associated and key partnerships by offering solutions/value/outcome and engaging effectively across all channels. 
  • To initiate, design, develop, organize, drive constantly and participate in evaluation and selection of outsourcing for onboarding, on-going performance and renewal, negotiate contract terms, manage and resolve outsourcing issues.  
  • To pro-actively identify issues and risks and take swift actions to resolve by planning, strategizing, trouble-shoot to determine the root cause for low-achieving DCA’s and outsource partners. 
  • To monitor execution of methods implementation and solutions for debt collection agencies for RAM. 
  • To ensure contracts are up to date and provide feedback for any improvement in clause and operation.  Proficient in contract review, budget management and in-depth understanding of project life cycle. 
  • To initiate technology ideas and project implementation for data-driven decision making.
  • Ensure that outsourcing strategies fully comply with Shariah, legal statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as prevailing policies and procedures by the bank.
  • To initiate knowledge sharing session on the portfolios with the team and recommend potential mitigations to avoid future recurrence.
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions to equip the team with know-how in outsourcing, asset disposal and recovery related matters. 
  • To lead post-mortem review for assigned portfolio in identifying the key findings and challenges on significant financing exposures for impaired and disposal collateral. 

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with all cross-functional teams to ensure that KPIs, objectives and deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.  
  • Act as contact point between internal and external for outsource projects.  
  • Plan, overseas and lead outsourcing projects to accelerate recovery.
  • Accurate and timely reporting.
  • Bring solutions to problems.
  • Commit continued improvement in competency, capability and efficiency.

Qualification & Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years related experience in recovery, with good professional ethics and occupational track records

Education

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree / equivalent in relevant fields, and in profession of relevant professional qualifications fulfilling the regulatory requirements

Experience

Minimum 8 years of related experience in recovery, with good professional ethics and occupational track records
