Senior Executive, Data Administrator

The job holder is responsible for managing the Bank’s database systems, maintaining and support infrastructure operations, and ensuring the overall health, performance, and security of the data platforms. The role includes overseeing the data center environment, managing projects, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for effective service delivery.

• Manage and oversee the Bank’s database systems including installation, configuration, upgrades, and schema deployment.
• Monitor the health, performance, security, and backup of all database environments.
• Analyze data behavior across applications and recommend performance or architectural improvements.
• Plan and execute suitable database performance tuning and optimization strategies.
• Create and maintain database environments for Production, UAT/Development, and Disaster Recovery.

• Plan and deploy backup and recovery strategies aligned with business continuity needs.
• Test and document disaster recovery scenarios and ensure readiness.

• Manage WebLogic systems and ensure operational integrity of middleware platforms.
• Monitor system resources, hardware health, and verify successful completion of scheduled jobs (e.g., backups, logs).

• Lead or support IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Prepare scope, planning documents, cost estimates, and communication plans.
• Maintain up-to-date operational and configuration documentation.

• Liaise with end users, management, external consultants, and vendors to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Manage and resolve application/system-related issues while coordinating with external support.
• Maintain effective communication channels to understand evolving system needs.

• Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned from time to time by management.

• Ensure outsources IT Infrastructure’s services delivered within scope

• Maintain and execute IT Recovery Plan for Business Continuity Plan

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in related industries; with good professional ethics and occupational track records.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. Certifications: Professional DBA certifications (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft, AWS) are highly desirable.

3 years of relevant experience or more in database management or IT support. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. Understanding of ITIL process, basic scripting (e.g., Shell, Python). Awareness of database security and compliance practices.
