Senior Manager, Credit Evaluation II Team I

Description

  • Conducting independent credit assessment and evaluation on financing proposals submitted by the originators which require approval from CCO and below;
  • Initiating and ensuring successful implementation in the areas of process improvement, asset quality, credit competency, etc.
  • To initiative/conduct any other tasks assigned from time to time for improvement of the credit process.

Tasks & Responsibilities

a.  Evaluation
  • To review and ensure credit proposals submitted have adequately covered pertinent credit scope/parameter, guidelines and policies;
  • To ensure key credit issues have been highlighted and addressed/mitigated, wherever possible so that quality of financing are not compromised;
  • To propose appropriate and practical mitigations and recommendations based on the key credit issues highlighted;
  • To conduct an independent assessment on the credit proposals submitted for informed decisions by the approving authority.
b.  Advisory/Training
  • To ensure the right supervision and guidance are given to RMs (if required);
  • To give input/feedback on the program/product developed by Product Development as well as other input required by other division (if any).
c.  Compliance
  • Ensuring that service standards on internal turnaround time (TAT) are met;
  • To ensure full compliance with the internal and regulatory Policies and Guidelines.
d.  Others
  • Providing valuable inputs to strengthen the credit risk management functions of the Bank as well as ring fence financing portfolio from any downside risks;
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Accountabilities

  • Supporting the Bank’s aspirations in achieving a healthy financing portfolio, while providing income sustainability moving forward.
  • Ensure pertinent credit issues have been identified and highlighted with mitigations in the independent report.

Qualification & Experience

For Manager:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in related industry(ies); and
  • With good professional ethics and track records.
For Senior Executive & Executive:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in related industry(ies); and
  • With good professional ethics and track records.

Competencies

  • Analytical & Creative Thinking
  • Credit Operations

Education

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in related fields; and • In possession of professional credit qualifications e.g. CCP/CCE, RCP or BCP OR any other relevant qualification(s) is an added advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in related industry(ies); and • With good professional ethics and track records.
